Currently in Cairo, Egpyt and heading to Luxor tomorrow.
Done the usual tourist hitlist including the Sudan Embassy...
The epic Sudan embassy mission begins. To update anyone who doesn't know in England it can take upto 12weeks to get a visa which is only valid for a month from issue making it near impossible to plan any trip. We applied on the 8th Dec 2005 and heard nothing by the time we left.
So 9.30am we enter the embassy in Cairo
10am handed duplicate application forms, passports and money and were told to wait
11am we tucked into falafel and tea in the embassy
Midday received visas and left... epic mission over!
We are due to get the ferry to Wadi Halfa, Sudan on the 10th April.
